You Are My Star

☆ Prince ☆
Baby I'm A Star

A caring soul,
You are indeed.
It's not your fault,
No others greed.

Always helping,
Right from the start.
Never taking,
Doing your part.

Forever my friend,
Lending an ear.
So hard to speak,
But you would hear.

Love and kindness,
Is who you are.
Technically now,
You are my star.

The Lie

Hey there ugly pain,
We're finally through.
Always doing those,
Certain things you do.

Strategically placed,
While holding a hand.
An adversary,
Kept taking demand.

Thoughts were forgotten,
Hidden high on shelf.
Cannibalism,
Used to hate myself.

Assignment exposed,
Because you're untrue.
Buried in this heart,
No one had a clue.

I kept all secrets,
Issues couldn't tell.
In that created,
My own living hell.

Fruit dwells in Spirit,
Therefore pain must die.
Complete, whole and free,
Not living the lie.

Joy Supersedes Hurt

You arrived on this earth.
Filled with love and purpose,
Destiny for my birth.

Life unfair and lonely,
Similarly to me.
A heart with great sadness,
Little chance to be free.

Lost inside of your head,
Ideas no one around.
Searching for your blessing,
Desired to be found.

Finally now at rest,
Your body in the dirt.
Spirit dwells within me,
Now joy supersedes hurt.

Let Our Love Show

My family members aren't only related by blood. Thank you for wanting me in your life. #SOWL 💛

Family love is important,
Forever not just seasons.
Generations of people,
Born for specific reasons.

No matter your past mistake,
Stay strong remain united.
Value our foundation,
Committed not divided.

Too much distance between us,
Open wounds never discussed.
Understood we spread apart,
Challenging for us to trust.

"Never say never" they say,

Perhaps if we start to speak.
Our instances "never,"
May cease someone getting weak.

Be there for one another,
Overcome someone's worry.
Togetherness assisting,
See clearer much less blurry.

Hope, prayer or a kind word,
Could be all that we might need.
Support is not difficult,
Rather quite simple indeed.

Seeing it for what it is,
Generation curses tricks.
Families are eternal,
These days we can even pick.

Individual choices,
Fixing issues of the heart.
Forgiveness an awesome gift,
When everyone does their part.

I adore my family,
Desiring you all know.
We deserve lives filled with peace,
Time to let our love show.

You Showed Me The Way

I am a WOMAN now,
Yes I am still your child.
Again thinking of you,
Always brings a huge smile.

Along our journey,
At times I became mad.
To see you as HUMAN,
Would leave me feeling sad.

Simplicity of thoughts,
You really didn't know.
Your intent not to harm,
Only wanted to GROW.

Love is what you needed,
However received pain.
You continued to LOVE,
Despite the lack of gain.

Your HEALER never left,
Been in and on our side.
Providing while leaches,
Were there only to ride.

Your Spirit is so strong,
The woman I now see.
You're the OVER-COMER,
Of life's atrocity.

Keep STANDING on your feet,
Fight hard like your mother.
Break this wicked cycle,
Abused from another.

Since faith is the substance,
I'm here today to say.
I learned love in spite of,
Mom YOU showed me the way!

New Path I Take

I stopped lying to myself,
No longer looking for an escape.
I've already been forgiven,
Now I'm giving myself a break.

Telling myself truth,
Setting myself free.
Decisions I have made,
Weren't always for me.

Nothing to prove to anyone,
Just simply to my God.
Protecting myself from others,
I refuse to live a facade.

I've been falsely accused,
Suffered my share of pain.
Even accept some choices,
Brought down heavier rain.

The universal principle,
We reap what we sow.
The debt will continue,
Until we let those know.

All the secrets I carried,
Must speak to make amends.
I am the bigger person,
Choosing to learn and bend.

Life as an overcomer,
A child of the most high.
Making my Daddy proud,
I'm not afraid to cry.

I released my situation,
Including past mistakes.
My tears show repentance,
On this new path I take.

Treat Yourself Right

Mistakes done and gone,
Tangled in our past.
Shame prevents movement,
No where going fast.

Repeating before,
Doing it again.
An obvious point,
This is not a friend.

See the advantage,
Think sharp like a knife.
Paying our debt,
Earning lease on life.

Healing a process,
Still mending to do.
Scars all left behind,
We will do this too.

Take stolen years,
Focus who you are.
Forgive just move on,
We came way too far.

Trust in the present,
Keep hope in your sight.
Time gives permission,
Just treat yourself right!

A Chance Today

Our elders are to be respected,
They hold stories of our past.
Lessons learned and survived,
Evidence that we can out last.

All desired a better life,
Expecting brighter tomorrows.
We should show them the respect,
For their misery especially sorrows.

Life could have been worse,
Our elders led the way.
This generation should be grateful,
We ought to thank them everyday.

Choosing to live with dignity,
Making decisions that are right.
The key of continuing,
All our elders had in sight.

Daily struggles were opportunities,
A risk for them to pray.
Based on their overcoming,
We have a chance today.

Already Won

Don't forget we have won!

I was born for a purpose,
Accomplish great things in life.
Not placed on earth to wallow,
In pity misery strife.

This message I share only,
If you are willing to hear.
Also those who have risen,
Seeking release from their fear.

Learn ways standing strong oneself,
Do not let another rule.
Fight for all rights surviving,
To win the mightiest dual.

Be encouraged warrior,
Doing greatness along way.
Every dawn's a new battle,
Stay focusing on today.

One more important statement,
And for now I shall be done.
Just in case you were unsure,
Have peace we already won!

What I Do

My mind is so full,
Pictures in my head.
The words that I hear,
Listening to what's said.

The state of the world,
A dark lonely place.
Gratification,
No more face to face.

Need intimacy,
On earth born to mate.
To love with spirit,
Not live full of hate.

All we do and see,
Is not by mistake.
We reap what we've sown,
Then learn how to fake.

Certain are not real,
But not up to me.
Truth forever told,
There's no I in we.

Absent in body,
I'm present with soul.
Uniqueness of man,
Goal to make me whole.

The time is right now,
Let go of this pain.
Complete my journey,
Not sitting in vain.

You are not perfect,
And neither am I.
We're destined children,
Let go cry or die.

Tears bring us healing,
That we truly need.
Take time to listen,
Assist with their deed.

Release yesterday,
Beginning with you.
Unity purpose,
Doing what I do.

Heart Remains With Me

How on this vast earth,
Making you believe?
Sending me a text,
Gives rights to receive.

So what we go back,
A new year and day.
Sure don't know me now,
Diamonds do not play.

You're ridiculous,
After all these years.
Thought you knew me best,
I shared most my fears.

The pain has helped me,
Value myself more.
Just because you knock,
Won't come in this door.

On my own stronger,
I glance back on past.
Smiling from my heart,
I'm first prize not last.

Wish it was different,
But things can't change now.
You received chances,
Had to break that vow.

Not still in bondage,
Struggle being free.
My mind needs love first,
HEART remains with me.

I Must Feel Free

Never imagine,
I'd sit here today.
Looking back on life,
Unsure of the way.

When right becomes wrong,
For wrong is now right.
I get overwhelmed,
Where's my guiding light?

I don't fear darkness,
Yet it creeps inside.
Cannot let it in,
No I will not hide.

Things feel different now,
Less worry more growth.
Know within my heart,
Enough strength for both.

Crossroads before me,
Which road should I take?
Pulling me apart,
Fragile but won't break.

Enough is enough,
I'm looking ahead.
Can't sweat your issues,
Still alive not dead.

Haunted by the past,
Surviving alone?
Prepared to be one,
Life is not my own.

Choosing the choices,
This season's for me,
I've been good to you,
 Now I must feel free!
